What to expect

Before your appointment

Bring a list of your current medications and any known allergies, and let Ashwina know about any recent changes to your health. If you're feeling unwell in the days before your appointment, please let us know. We may suggest rescheduling. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours beforehand where possible, and arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, where practical.

On the day

When you arrive, Ashwina will talk you through the plan in full before anything begins, and you'll have the chance to ask questions. She'll confirm your consent before starting. Appointment length varies depending on what's involved, and she'll tell you what to expect on the day. What you feel during treatment varies by person and by what's being done. Ashwina will describe this before starting.

Risks

Every procedure carries risk, and it's important you go in with a clear picture.

Common, and usually temporary: bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness, headache, and some asymmetry while things settle.

Less common, but more serious: infection, allergic reaction, damage to a blood vessel, and effects on nerves or vision.

Some outcomes need further treatment to correct, and not everything is fully reversible. If you're ever unsure about a risk, ask, before you book and again on the day.

Results vary

Results vary from person to person, and from one course of treatment to the next. Ashwina will give you an honest sense of what's realistic for you, but no particular result can be promised.

Aftercare

General aftercare applies across every treatment: keep the area clean, avoid direct sun and tanning beds while your skin recovers, and don't pick or scratch at anything that's healing. Ashwina will also give you aftercare specific to your treatment in writing, and it's set out for each service on the Services page.
